August 24th & 25th


Opening Weekend Celebration!  Celtic Weekend!

Its time for a Return to the Magic and Mystique of the Renaissance!  Visit with friends new and old.  Reimagine your favorite experiences and make new magical memories.  King Henry welcomes all of his friends and subjects back to the village of Morelandshire.  It’s a celebration like no other.  Listen to the traditional sounds of Celtic musicians, Scottish pipe bands and madrigal singers throughout the Realm.  Get ready to don ye kilts for the Men in Kilts Contest at 2:30 on the Greek Stage! Also join us for the “Think You Can Jig” Dance Contest, for time and location ask at the front gate. We will also have buy-one-get-one free coupons at all area Wendy’s locations, good for this weekend at the festival box office only.


August 31st, September 1st, & 2nd


Children’s Weekend!

Throughout this weekend dedicated to young lads and lasses, children ages 12 and under experience the Festival for free with a paying adult admission ticket. Just be sure to pick up the child’s ticket from the festival box office. Special activities include the Prince, Princess, and Pirate Costume Contest on the Greek Stage at 2:30 Also, there is the Royal Quest, knighting ceremonies, and photos with the King and Queen. Be sure to enjoy medieval rides and games of skill!  It is also Union and Labor Appreciation weekend!  All union members can purchase buy-one-get-one free tickets at the festival box office and their children 12 and under are free!


September 7th & 8th


Mead and Whiskey weekend!

“The Discovery of a good wine is increasingly better for mankind than the discovery of a new star” ~Leonardo Da Vinci. For this weekend dedicated to “The Nectar of the Gods” we intend to use it very well, indeed! Free Sampling of some of the finest vintages from local Pennsylvania craftsmen. 

 It is also Military Appreciation weekend!  All current military and veterans receive Buy-one-get-one-free coupons at the festival box office as well as free tickets for their children 12 and under.


September 14th & 15th


Pirate Invasion Weekend

Argh Matey! Pirates have invaded the festival! Enjoy a weekend of rousing good tales and tunes of high-seas adventures, swash-buckling sword fights and a jolly good time!  A Mr Caribbean Pirate Contest will take place on the Greek stage at 2:30. Pirate Treasure Hunt will also take place! Meet at the Front Gate at 12:30! “Drink up me hearties, yo ho!”


September 21st & 22nd


Wine Revelry and Romance

Join our Romeos and Juliets in this weekend dedicated to lovers. Renew your vows and faith and commitment at our “Renewal of Vows”, both Saturday and Sunday on the Greek Stage at 2:30. Also, participate in our   “Wooing” Competition taking place in the streets throughout the day! Show you’re capable of wooing said lasses! Romance is in the air! Free Wine Tasting throughout the day featuring local Pennsylvania wineries.


September 28th & 29th


A final Huzzah – Oktoberfest

“Willkommen”(a Hearty Welcome), our village is hosting King Henry and Queen Anne in an Oktoberfest celebration and a farewell to the season.  Tantalize your taste buds with traditional German favorites such as bratwurst and pretzels! Music, dancing, lederhosen and tavern wenches will delight one and all with a fun filled taste of Bavaria. Come eat, drink, and make merry with us at the castle!
